Equipping the Church in South Sudan

Who we are, what we believe, and the people who carry the work.

Our story

Founded to close a training gap

GTI was founded by Seme Ludanga and Rev. Alex Freezer and registered in April 2026 by the Relief and Rehabilitation Commission.

South Sudan is the world’s youngest nation, with a century of Christian history. Yet many who preach and teach have never been trained to draw out what a passage means, so they read their own ideas into the text.

GTI complements churches and theological institutions by training those who cannot reach a college — because of cost, distance, prerequisites, insecurity or ministry duties.

“The church in South Sudan is like a big tree with many branches and leaves but has no roots.”
